Description

Scotland occupies the northern third of the United Kingdom, with England to the south, and otherwise surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, North Sea, and Irish Sea.  Scotland’s wild and empty landscape is second to none, with mountains carved by ancient glaciers and vast tectonic rifts filled by mesmerising lochs.

Itinerary

In the midst of Scotland’s vast scenery are to be found majestic castles, cathedrals and country estates, the small chapels and crofts of the rural hinterlands, the engineering marvels of the Industrial Revolution, or the warm towns and villages so affectionately described in the poetry of Robert Burns or the Victorian Romantics.

From a night by the River Tay to a restorative piece of sugary tablet, or even a wee dram of Scotch whisky, one of the best ways to see Scotland is by bicycle.
